FRA manages numerous fire remediation projects each year, understanding and empathizing with the devastating impact it can have. Our primary goal is to restore your contents and structure to their pre-loss condition. While certain items may be non-restorable, FRA meticulously documents them in an inventory. Time is of the essence, as secondary damages can occur with time. The sooner FRA can initiate a make-safe process on-site, the more content we can restore. FRA guarantees thorough remediation to eliminate smoke odours and ensure no lingering odours remain in the structure.

We are committed to guiding you through the restoration process, ensuring that your property meets industry standards and returns to its pre-loss condition.

FRA Response:

FRA promptly provides an assessment report detailing the full extent of the damage, including the impact of smoke, residues, heat damage, and the condition of contents and structure that can be restored. The assessment also covers techniques employed for restoration. As each fire is unique, FRA’s assessments encompass odour and smoke eradication, sanitization, air vents and duct restoration. We inform you of the job’s progress as part of our comprehensive communications.

What To Do Until Help Arrives:

After extinguishing the fire, exercise caution when entering the structure—only do so if the fire investigator deems it safe. Consult a qualified professional for guidance. Take pictures of structural damages and affected contents for your insurance claim. Create an inventory with photos detailing electronics and an itemized list of affected items. Stay organized, take notes, and document all interactions with insurance professionals. Keep receipts and original documents for your insurance claim. Notify your insurance company and call FRA to develop a comprehensive remediation plan.

What Not To Do:

DON’T attempt to wipe or wash fire residue from walls, ceilings, or absorbent surfaces before assessment by the loss adjuster. Avoid using smoke-impacted soft contents until professionally cleaned. Dispose of food exposed to fire heat, keep an inventory, and DON’T turn on electrical appliances until professionally cleaned and tested.

A fire is heartbreaking, and FRA is here to support you and your family throughout the restoration process.
